Dear Mom,
I couldn't fit everything in the email so I'm adding a few things here.
Russel Askey and Melanie Nelson?!?! That's Crazy Sauce!
Remember how they call Firesides "Sunday Evening Blah Blah Blahs" now? Well not in the MTC. It's all "Firesides" here.
For our three hours of personal study time every week, my companions and I have been speaking only in Portuguese. It is not easy. And this Friday, however grudgingly, they committed to speak only in Portuguese the WHOLE day with me. It's going to be a great experience full of frustration and horrible grammar.
My companion, Elder Doyel gave me a note that said he was so happy to have me as a companion because of my big heart, ability to love everyone, and catchy happiness. It was very special to find that on my desk after a long day.
Today officially marks a third of my stay in the MTC. I think I need to work harder because I don't feel like I've accumulated a third of the knowledge I need to be a missionary in brazil.
Thank you so much for the package! The notebooks and Oreos will be very needed! But HOLY CLOTHES! I needed like one shirt and one pair of shorts. It shows me how much you care though:). But I'll probably have to send most of it back before I leave.
If you're praying for me to get my visa, pray that it comes in six weeks. I love my teachers and my district! I don't want to leave Provo anytime soon.
In church we sang a rendition of "Ye Elders of Israel" that I put together. It went really well I think! We had an Italian sister play on the piano for us. Did I tell you that the Italians are our best friends? Cuz boy howdy they are! They are so nice and are always leaving us friendly notes in our classroom and bringing us caramel corn and cinnamon rolls and all sorts of awesome stuff. Elder Doyel and I go to choir and dinner with four of the Italian Sisters every Tuesday and Sunday. They are so nice and so fun and so friendly. You can feel their spirits and love of the Gospel being around them. I'm sure LaDawn will love to hear that!
Tell everyone I love them! I hope all you crazy cats are sharing letters I send home! I miss you mom!
Fala o proximo!
Elder Frazer.
